Know when your
pets eat,
every time.

Smart Pet Monitor automatically tracks feeding behaviour using weight sensors and computer vision — identifying which pet eats what, when, and how much.

Everything you need
to monitor your pets

From hardware sensors to cloud dashboards — a complete IoT pipeline built for reliability and accuracy.

Weight sensing

4× HX711 load cell sensors measure food consumption to within 1g accuracy per bowl, continuously.

Cat identification

OpenCV HSV colour detection identifies cats by fur colour — local, instant, no cloud API needed.

Grafana dashboards

Real-time and historical charts showing bowl weights, feeding events, sighting rates and daily totals.

Mobile app

React Native app shows the latest photo per bowl, recent sightings, weights and feeding history.

Feeding history

Every meal is logged with start time, duration, grams eaten and which cat — building a baseline over time.

Kubernetes infrastructure

K3s on AWS EC2 with Helm Charts, Terraform IaC, Traefik ingress and Let's Encrypt HTTPS.

Tech stack

A complete IoT pipeline from hardware edge device to cloud infrastructure.
